Shakira je rođena u Columbiji u gradu Baraqula.Sada ima 29 godina.Njezin se zaručnik zove Antonijo i sin je argentinskog prijecjednika.Najdraže su joj cvijeće suncokreti, a do sada je izdala 9 albuma.Trbušni ples ju je naučila baka.

Oduvijek smo voljeli Shakiru i njezine super pjesme. Otkako smo bili na koncertu u "Big" Gorici naša ljubav prema Shakiri i njezinim pjesmama se povećala. Ah da, nismo se predstavile... Na ovom svijetu postoje dvije sestrične koje se zovu Lara i Marta (znana kao pudlica 0000). Naša mišljenja o shakiri i neke naše doživljaje ćemo izraziti na ovom blogu. Shakira je uzor...Ehh, da malo napišemo o toj poznatoj svjetskoj latino kraljici...Naime Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll rođena je u Kolumbiji 02. februara 1977. u gradu Barranquilla. Majka joj je Kolumbijka,a otac je Libanonac. Shakira znači djevojka puna ljupkosti. Već u dječjoj dobi je pokazivala strast za muziku, a sa osam godina napisala je svoju prvu pjesmu. U ranoj dobi vršnjaci su je zafrkavali da pjeva kao koza ali su joj danas sigurno zavidni. Sa
trinaest godina potpisuje svoj prvi ugovor za album. Završava školu i posvećuje se muzici. 1996.godine izlazi treci album.Tećim albumom dokazuje da je već prava zvijezda. U svibnju 1998. godine proglašena je latino glazbenikom godine na Music Awardsu. Dolazi do prvog mjesta Latin Top 50 Billboarda. Na Grammy 2000 osvaja dvije nagrade. Album "MTV UNPLUGGED" proglašen je za najbolji latino album godine. Izvjesno je da Shakira neće biti prolazni meteorit nego zvijezda koja traje godinama.
